Sarmizegetusa

Don't even try to say the name of this place. This is the Dacian and Roman Citadel. This place is also a UNESCO Heritage Site where archaeologists come from all over to dig. Dacians setteled here from the 3rd century BC onwards. They built up a magnificent kingdom centered in Sarmizegetusa and surrounded by a defensive circle of fortifications in the Orastie Mountains. Sarmizegetusa remained unconquered by the Romans until 106 AD when the Dacians were forced to move north by Roman forces. Only part of the great city has been unearthed. During the early 14th century, the stones of the village were used to build churches.
Remains of the Roman Forum, complete with tall marble columns, have already been uncovered as well as temples, the amphitheater, a mausoleum and two villas. Many tools, ceramics, ivory combs and other treasures are in a museum.
The lovely bathrooms

A shiny, little buddy

This is where the first known sewer system was in Romania. There was a huge plague in the large cities due to the waste remaining in the streets.

The City Hall (or village)
Ugly statue in the town of Lugoj

Cross in the mountains
Pretty small waterfalls are seen all over the mountain roads
This is Cristian's cute little car. The Dacia Logan, most seen car in Romania also produced here.
Moo Moos in the road. A normal sight.
Most country Romanians own small chunks of land like this and use horses and old tools.
