Prague Pictures

Puppetry has a long tradition in Prague is is obviously still strongly represented. Almost every shop sold them. We even went to a puppet studio and saw a man making them.
Looks Tasty!!! Yummy Yummy!!

We ate Chinese food like 3 times here. It was really cheap and it is very expensive and not so good in Romania!!

A bit too much fun after eating!!

The Old Town Hall's Astronomical Clock. The original clock was built in the 15th century and in 1490 it was rebuilt by a master clockmaker. The city hall was so anxious to prevent him from recreating the masterpiece elsewhere, that they blinded him.

Old Town Square: Church of St. Nicholas north side
This was a peace protest. They were upset about the US creating a military base here. Bush said that the Czechs would receive easier visa entries into the US for helping him.

Old Town Square. This is the Church of Our Lady Tyn.
The Old Town Coat of Arms

Little Quarter Bridge Tower. This is the part of Prague least affected by recent history. There are hardly any new buildings and was founded in 1257. Most of the buildings were built in the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
A Beautiful Rose on the Charles Bridge. The bridge connects the Old Town with the Little Quarter and is Prague's most famous monument. Until 1741, Charles Bridge was the only crossing over the Vltava River.

The crowdy Charles Bridge

These are statues of St John of Nepomuk. They are polished bright by pedestrians rubbing them for good luck.
This picture depicts the martyrdom of St John in 1393.

More protesting before the Peace rally at night. The Charles Bridge is stuffed full of foreigners like a can of sardines. They wanted Americans to see and hear them.
The Grand Priory Mill

Huge Metros!!

St. George's Besilica is the best preserved Romanesque church in Prague.
